To illuminate hope, and lead people to follow Jesus.

Gospel Centered

We believe the gospel is the good news of God’s grace invading the darkness of this world. Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross satisfied God’s justice for our sins while also demonstrating God’s love and amazing grace for us. Therefore, we want all that takes place in our hearts, church and ministries to proceed from and be related to the gospel.

Romans 5:8 NLT
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

We believe that we are always a work in progress, regardless of age or spiritual maturity. While Jesus has separated us from our sin, we will always be at war with our sin nature. So we will attack this nature intentionally by practically showing others how to live a life formed by the Holy Spirit that thrives in every season of life.

Colossians 3:10 NLT
Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.

We believe that as we humble ourselves under God, we unavoidably will humble ourselves before everyone else we encounter. We choose to see the Image of God in every person as they are created in His Image (Genesis 1:27), and therefore love them as Jesus loved us (John 13:34).

Micah 6:8 NLT
the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

Next Generation

We believe children and youth are world changers. We commit to invest in, empower and release our NextGen to go make disciples today.

Psalm 78:5-7 NLT
He commanded our ancestors to teach them to their children, so the next generation might know them—even the children not yet born— and they in turn will teach their own children. So each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting his glorious miracles and obeying his commands.

Stewards of Grace

We believe we are purposed and empowered. Just as we have been given grace, we believe that we must use the gifts, skills and resources God gives us. We do this with the eternal importance of others receiving the very same gift of grace so that lives are changed and Christ is elevated.

1 Peter 4:10-11 ESV
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.

We believe God has not called us to be alone in this journey. So we will be intentional about fostering a culture of multigenerational people who love, accept, honor, support, sharpen, encourage, inspire and serve one another.

Colossians 3:12-14 NLT
Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.

We Gather as the church weekly with the sole focus to elevate Jesus Christ through our worship, learning from God’s scriptures, praying for one another and creating space to hear from the Spirit.

We also set aside time to gather together for discipleship in courses and studies created to foster a deeper understanding and daily walk as a follower of Christ.

During the week we Scatter across the city of Indianapolis with intentionality. This means we always seek to reflect the kind of love that not only binds us together as followers of Jesus, but that is also welcoming and compelling for others to become a part as well.

The primary way this happens is through our Community Groups. It’s where we live as family, eating, praying, and sharing life together. It’s also where we stand out as we live as Jesus’ Light in our neighborhoods, workplaces, and city.

As followers of Jesus, we are marked as Stewards of God’s Grace—gifted, skilled and impassioned to serve those both in and outside of the church. We want to actively engage in self-sacrificial love by serving the church with our gifts, talents, skills and resources.

We want to also amplify our service in any way that draws others to Christ through community and city service, and also globally through missions work and giving.
